they are both effective to the same degree, if that’s what you’re asking. but invisalign, while it takes about twice as long as braces, is much more comfortable, convenient, and better for pictures.

The Power of a Pediatric Dentist

From the moment your child is born, proper dental care becomes an essential part of their lives. While it’s important to clean your infant’s gums at home, they’ll need the care of a pediatric dentist when their first tooth erupts (6-12 months). Pediatric dentists are dental specialists who provide therapeutic and preventive dental care for infants, children and teens. In addition to monitoring the growth and development of your child’s teeth, a pediatric dentist can provide total dental care advice, including tips on how to brush, how to floss and healthy snacks for your child’s teeth.

As a parent, you can help turn regular dental visits into a fun, positive experience for your child by finding a great pediatric dentist. When you search online to find a pediatric dentist we’ll give you all the information you need to make the best choice for your child.

In just minutes you can find out if a dental office offers toys and other distractions to make your child comfortable, what languages are spoken, if Saturday appointments are available and much more! You know your child better than anyone else, and we know our pediatric dentists pretty well, too — together we can find the perfect match in no time at all!

They Grow Up So Fast!

Pediatric dentistry doesn’t stop when your child graduates from their toddler years. Many children continue to see their pediatric dentist well into their teens. Of course, every situation is different, and your pediatric dentist will help you decide when your child is ready to move on to a general dentist. Regardless, it’s important for all children to have consistent professional dental care. Children who understand the importance of oral health early in life tend to have better oral hygiene habits and fewer dental problems as an adult. Regular dental visits and an excellent oral hygiene routine will help set your child up for a lifetime of dental health!

i am 46 years old. i got the cheap version of Invisalign called red/white and blue. it’s through a different company than invisalign and did the same thing. so ask your dentist if he has heard of red, white and blue. you don’t change them as often as invisalign and i am happ with the results. i was not looking for perfect teeth as braces would give you but just better and a nicer smile.

  2. Bob D says:

I encourage you to get invisalign, because it’s much better than braces, plus they don’t look as bad and dont’ interfere with you life as much I mean you can take it off when your beginning to eat or brushing your teeth. Overall, it’s just a lot less work.

  3. DaneKat6 says:

I wanted invisalign but the orthodontist told me to that she was going to put braces on because people tend to forget the invisalign, plus you have to take it out everytime you eat then put it back in and then its all nasty from food leftover in your teeth. its not a good idea if you need a lot of work done on your teeth. Consult with an orthodontist about it.

  4. emmalue says:

If your general dentist is experienced with Invisalign, he/she will know if your case is suitable. Invisalign usually takes LESS time than traditional braces, not more.

You do take them out to eat, but if you clean your mouth after meals (who doesn’t?) there won’t be any ordor or discoloration.

I’d be afraid of trying any new company (Red, White and Blue? Never hear of it.) The last competitor to Invisalign was bought out and all the unfinished cases had to switch to Invisalign. They were just abandoned mid-treatment.

probably the profit .. whoever is doing the work is going to tell you that their product/technique and procedure is the best. i would search out the top dentists/ research the opinions … having dental work / teeth that are comfortable in the mouth is more important than i ever realized . i had one bridge that i have not been satisfied with for 5 years. there is not a day that goes by that i do not think/ am aware of how this feel. it does not show … but it has never felt right / had several adjustments. i reallyl can’t stand the idea of going through this procedure again in my lifeteime…. but know i should do it.

i could kill myself for making an appointment with the only dentist that was working on christmas eve to start this procedure to get it in for calendar insurance year …lol .. insanity of mine. i will always put myself , health ahead of any job.

  6. jojo says:

Your doctor probably recommends the invisalign for cosmetic purposes since you have the advantage of takeing them off. They are both effective but invisalign make take a longer time. It all comes down to the type of person you are, if your responsible an follow the dentist’s orders your a good candidant for invisalign but if ypur inresponsible and know your never going to but them on or uor always going to forget go with the braces. Afterall you want to see results and not just throw your money away.
