Dentures ? They Might Make You Smile! Beautiful, Secure Dentures
Are you missing teeth? As distressing and overwhelming as it may feel at first, you are not alone. Over 20 million people in the United States have lost some or all of their teeth to wear, decay, gum disease or an accident.
And missing teeth doesn’t just affect your confidence – it can affect your health. If there are remaining teeth, they can shift and cause your bite to become unbalanced and uncomfortable and result in painful TMJ disorders. Missing teeth can even lead to loss of bone in your jaw!
But I don’t Want Dentures!
Usually when someone has dentures, you know it. Their cheeks can look sunken and their lips compressed. Sometimes the teeth of the dentures look flat and opaque or they just look too short for the wearer’s face. Worse yet, dentures are sometimes so ill fitting, they don’t let one eat or speak with confidence.
A Different Kind of Denture
I want to make sure that my patients feel both secure and confident – even after they have lost some or all of their teeth. That’s why I design dentures that do more than just fill in the gaps where teeth are missing. I measure my patient’s bite and make sure that the dentures will fit properly, balance the jaw and face and feel secure and absolutely comfortable. I’ll work with you so that your dentures are also cosmetically pleasing with the right tooth shape and length to make you look youthful and have the correct shading and translucency so they mimic natural teeth.
Implant Supported Dentures
Even more advanced than our beautiful and comfortable custom-made dentures are our implant supported dentures. Implant supported dentures are securely fastened to a post surgically implanted into your gum and bone. It may sound daunting but it really is quite simple. We place a tiny titanium rod precisely into your gums. Once placed, it begins to integrate with your jawbone, essentially becoming a new tooth root. When it has healed, you simply snap your implant dentures onto the post – no gels or creams to hold them in place and no slipping, moving or discomfort because they don’t fit properly.
Our dentures really can be life changing! For more information about our cosmetic dentures or our implant supported dentures, call us at 703.594.2151, or visit www.bolildds.com.
