Question by holiday: I am 16 and i have a yellow spot on my front tooth?
It has always been there and as soon as my permanent teeth came through my mum noticed a yellow stain. It is like a small spot in the centre of my tooth, inside my tooth so brushing or whitening will not help, said my dentist. He said i could get cosmetic help but that would cost money. Does anyone know what cosmetic “surgery” this would be?

One of the greatest benefits that people get from cosmetic dentistry is that it can improve self-esteem and correct a number of physical issues, whether it is disease or damage in the mouth. The dental industry is changing more and more each year, and there are numerous cosmetic dental treatments available to fix the appearance of the teeth.

These cosmetic and restorative treatments will correct any existing problems already occurring in your teeth. The best choice by far for the common issues of crooked, damaged, or stained teeth is restorative dentistry to correct the appearance of the mouth. These days, the average lifespan of an individual has increased, which is why it is necessary to focus on cosmetic dentistry to promote overall dental health and a long life. This type of cosmetic dentistry will dramatically benefit your appearance, and it will also benefit the health of your body by preventing gum disease, decayed teeth, and infection within the mouth.

To begin, a very popular cosmetic dental treatment is a dental implant. This implant is made from titanium, and it will screw as a root into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth. This is a surgical procedure that anchors directly to the jawbone to fix missing teeth. After an implant, it is important that the mouth has time to heal for the best treatment results. An implant is a very simple cosmetic procedure, which will give restoration to the mouth if you have one or more missing teeth.

Otherwise, you may use restorative dentistry for crowns or bridges, which are a very popular technique. These work to help beautify the appearance of the teeth so that they will bridge any gaps that are found in the mouth. If you are someone that has broken or crooked teeth, you may be embarrassed about your smile. For this reason, a bridge will work as a restorative technique so that gaps will be fixed in the smile so that it looks complete.

It is so easy to have decay or damage to the mouth to cause a number of dental problems. This may be happening as you age, because of an injury, or even due to a medical condition. It can be embarrassing to have crooked or missing teeth, and it can also cause low self-esteem and self-consciousness. This is precisely why so many people depend upon the techniques of restorative dentistry to improve their self-esteem and correct many issues that they have had with their teeth for years. It is important to have an appointment with your dentist so that you can determine if you are a candidate for cosmetic or restorative dentistry.

In addition, to see the greatest results from your cosmetic dentistry, you must continue to maintain the oral health of your teeth. This will involve regular dental appointments, brushing and flossing each day, and avoiding drinking dark beverages that could potentially discolor your teeth.
