Question by Courtney: I need help with something please?
I need to make a children’s book for my Spanish class. It has to be in Spanish, but I can worry about the translating later.
I just need help with some ideas. For instance, “A day at the dentist.” Or just some ideas that will help children learn a lesson.
Thank you! And person with the most suggestions = Best answer.

From your babies very first teeth to the emergence of the last permanent teeth of your kid it becomes extremely essential to maintain a proper dental hygiene to follow up for future dental health. Above that as parents we all wish to inculcate in our children better oral regime so that even as adults they never face any ill health issues. Even your kid is a baby he or she requires regular dental care and cleaning as that is the stage wherein the first foundation is laid.
Primary teeth begin to emerge from around the age of six to eight months and are accompanied by symptoms such as swollen red gums. A total of twenty teeth come out and it is when your child turns seven or eight they gradually start falling out only to be replaced by the permanent adult denture. But every part of this development is truly critical in regards to common oral problems like bacterial growth, tooth decay, cavities and damaged gums with swelling. Tooth decay in fact is a very common childhood condition and if left unattended, it can lead to physical and psychological disabilities in children.
The main cause for this condition is consumption of excessive sugar. Sweets and other sugary products are a threat, as the bacteria in plaque absorb these sugars and in turn produce acids that cause cavities. Children should be taught from the outset to follow a healthy routine for their teeth. Apart from good oral hygiene and proper nutrition, it is important to take your child to the dentist regularly. Even regular check-ups with a specialized childrens dentist can keep the problems at bay.

Good mouth care is a very important part of your child’s overall health. We all want to ensure that our children develop, and maintain, a consistent oral hygiene routine that will continue into adulthood. “Impression is all that matters” and a beautiful smile is the most important factor in ones personality and bad teeth will ruin the overall impression of your kid on others. Even after regular care children tend to develop various tooth related problems that may harm in the long run.
Tooth decay is still the most common childhood malady and if left untouched, it can lead to physical and psychological disabilities in children. Tooth decay is increased by the consumption of simple sugars as well as improper oral care. If decay is allowed to go on in the baby teeth, it can damage the permanent adult teeth developing near the roots of the baby teeth. Decay can lead to infection, pain, abscesses, chewing problems and gastrointestinal disorders. It can affect speech and articulation, and like many chronic diseases, the risk factors of early childhood cavities also contribute to childhood obesity and malnutrition. That kind of damage is therefore permanent and irreversible.
Strong, healthy teeth and gums are important in children so that there is no pain involved when they consume food. If their mouths hurt when they try to eat, it can drastically affect their nutrition and cause weight loss. Healthy incisors are necessary for proper speech development. If a decaying tooth is not treated in time then an abscess in the tooth may occur. For these reasons, and so many more, it is important to stay on top of the dental care.
One of the best ways to educate children about dental health and maintaining good oral hygiene is to familiarize oneself with the fundamentals of childrens dentistry which includes oral hygiene, preventing cavities, dental habits and problems, nutrition, and lastly teaching children about healthy dental routines. Even regular checkups with a pediatric childrens dentist can keep the problems at bay. These dentists provide various kinds of services for children like regular check-ups, routine cleaning using hi-tech digital x-rays, instructions on brushing, diet and many more. Most of the time children teeth look clean from the outside but an uncovered disease may lead to serious consequences in the future. Children’s dentist make the whole process of dental treatment painless and also help the child to maintain his good oral health and to prevent problems from becoming serious, by treating them in the correct duration of time.
