Question by Recession Free P: I want to get my teeth whitened, whats the most effective and long-lasting procedure for in-office dentistry?
I’ve done some research but am having trouble distinguishing the difference between “Zoom” and “Laser”. I just want the whitest teeth possible in as short a time possible. Also, I live in San Diego right by the border of Mexico and was thinking about going out there to save some money?

I drink way too much coffee and started to get stressed out when they weren’t as white anymore. I was going to go the dentist to have him do it but it was ridiculously expensive. So I looked for forever and I finally found a kit that’s just like the one the dentist uses with the mold and injection. It works amazing and fast, I could see the difference after the first one ! I’m glad I didn’t have the dentist do it. I got it on sale too because they were having a trial where you get to try it for the cost of shipping for like 6 bucks here’s the website. http://mywhiterteeth.info

Having a great smile tells a lot about a person. It is one thing that everyone wants, but not everybody has. It can be the one tool that can bring you closer to friends and colleagues. This is the reason that people feel insecure about showing their smiles when there is a presence of brown or yellow stains on a persons tooth. Fortunately, there is a safe way to take of this dental hygiene situation. The dental procedure of teeth whitening is the answer.
Being performed more and more in the cosmetic dentistry field; it is becoming a very popular procedure among dental patients. The reversing of the discoloration of the teeth was the initial design of the procedure. While aging is the main reason that people’s teeth become discolored, there are many other reasons that can cause a discoloration of the teeth. The regular drinking of coffee, soda, and tea as well as antibiotic use and tobacco aid in tooth discoloration. For the person that wants to obtain a teeth whitener, there are numerous options to choose from. Chemical whitening, abrasive teeth whitening , laser teeth whitening and mild acid whitening are among some of the options. You should always consult your dentist before you choose a teeth whitening technique of your own due to any draw backs that can happen from using a certain type of teeth whitening technique.
Professional Whitening
When you have your teeth whitening procedure performed by your dentists then it is referred as in office bleaching. The in office procedure performed by applying a bleaching agent to the patients teeth. The key ingredient is hydrogen peroxide that is added into the bleaching agent whitener. Using a laser or light source the hydrogen peroxide inside the bleaching agent is activated by the dentist. When this is done, the result is a breaking down of the hydrogen peroxide into a water state and a radical. While in this water state the stain molecules on the teeth become attached with the radical. When the radicals become attached to the molecules, the molecules become weak. Oxygen is now able to reach the tooth enamel and whiten the tooth.
Home Teeth Whitening Options
When you choose to use do-it-yourself teeth whitening techniques it is referred to as at-home bleaching. You can undergo this procedure by obtaining a solution with a peroxide base from your pharmacist or your dentist. The contents of this base include a mouth guard and a Carbamide Peroxide gel. The patient then adds the gel to the mouth guard and inserts into the mouth. The duration of application and frequency can vary with each different at-home bleaching product. The principle behind the at-home bleaching is similar to the in-office procedure as far as the oxidation is concerned. The two main differences are that instead of hydrogen peroxide, the Carbamide peroxide is used in the bleaching agent.
The use of whitening toothpaste is another option for teeth whitening techniques. Polishing agents are used rather than peroxides as these agents can penetrate deeper than regular toothpaste’s to polish the enamel of the tooth.
Disadvantages?
Teeth whitening aren’t for everybody. There can be a negative impact to the teeth’s aesthetic appearance if used by someone who has tooth colored fillings. Some other disadvantages of teeth whitening can be sore gums. Discontinuing your scheduled bleaching generally causes this. Also you may need to have veneers or crowns in cases where teeth discoloration is serious. When using at-home bleaching some people discovers that the mouth guard doesn’t fit the shape of their teeth. In these situations you should consult your dentist.

As soon as one gets into the treatment room where a still patient is enduring the purring ministrations of the old, high speed, painless awl, one could easily witness the light from the laser with a sapphire tip looking just exactly like the one shown earlier at the dental clinic. Such is the truly painless, or virtually painless tool that depending on its handling, can be employed without anesthesia the only setback is the low ticking sound and eye catching use far beyond restorative work and such made its debut in Frederick a few years ago.
One resident aid dentist living in Frederick says it’s very effective and that he tends to use it most of the time. The ,000 chromium laser ablating device is what he is talking about. This looks as big as a car rooftop carry all tool and it also has its machine and applicator sitting on the floor beneath a flat screen TV that projects from the dental chair complex. Such a television is seen as the standard entertainment distraction feature found right here in this room which has six dental chairs.
Typically and at least half of the time, anesthesia is not useful for us. We can find that in reality, preparing a tooth that has decay, and also doing away with the decay without inserting a needle in the mouth can be done easily. The job is accomplished much faster and cleaner when the job is done without pain. According to one Baker Park area resident, the laser in its present configuration will not work on old silver fillings as a drawback, but nevertheless it can easily slice through the enamel of teeth along with the newer, white composite fillings too. And, he says, it handles soft tissue ablation, as in gum lifts and periodontal work, quite nicely.
Teeth whitening or curing which is the number one cosmetic dentistry procedure at present and when it comes to this the device ought to be swapped out for a laser device with a frequency of light that is different from the first one. Without any anesthesia except a topical gel, this dentist shares that he has cut through many soft tissues, performing surgery. Pain or bleeding has never been associated this. Surfaces of the teeth are touched by distilled water alone. It’s really good for kids, because what you’re dealing with is just water spray. We coax the children into the treatment saying it’s a water gun that requires no anesthesia.
One captivating surgery this area pioneer is enthusiastic about is a smile enhancement done with a laser gum lift by removing soft tissue shrouding part of a female’s front teeth, done by another dentist. For the whole procedure, one only had to wait six minutes and this gave them such great results too. I find that him not charging extra when using the laser for standard dental work to be the greatest thing about this laser device. The laser does you something great wherein you do something so dramatic for someone that does not hurt even one bit.
Of the yearly 8.5 billion latest figures? subset, which consists of cosmetic dentistry, US cosmetic surgery industry and the 150,000 dentist strong, billion in 2005 overall US dentistry sector, the emergent laser dentistry field which tackles both whitening and reshaping of teeth along with lifts and outlining for the gums along with dental restoration, periodontal work and root canal procedures is truly growing into an in demand specialty within the 8,000 dentist strong ornamental dentistry showground. It is truly disheartening that from the 230 or so dentists, pediatric dentists, orthodontists and periodontists found in the Frederick County yellow pages, only 10 of them more or less are the ones who make use of the laser equipment.
As soon as the laser makes the water particles energized, it is the one that hits the teeth of the patient. This female dental expert has been using both her ablating and her teeth whitening laser for so many years now and she sees this to be the one tool that will replace the high speed drill eventually. When she was questioned on whether any of the cost of her ,000 machine is defrayed through payments, she simply answered no. She states patients need not worry about a bigger payment. For small dental fillings and dental cavities, patients should pay about the same. I simply chose the technique that delivered the best outcome.
