Are you pondering the idea of getting your teeth fixed? Then think again and finalize on completing your major dental work in Mexico. The question is why in Mexico? The answer is that in the U.S and Canada, the cost for dental services are exorbitant and can make a deep hole in your pocket. Reports conclude that it is probable to save as much as 65%-75% of the dental costs if undertaken in Mexico.

Mexico is an apt destination for inexpensive dental care offering quality services in spite of keeping your budget in mind. Effective and efficient but still cheap dentistry services in Mexico can be illustrated by this first hand example. There was a young man who was born and brought up in a cow ranch in the U.S. His income was barely sufficient to feed himself and his family and any extra expenses were considered a burden. Unfortunately, he met with an unforeseen accident that cost him his jaw line. He endured many miniscule fractures resulting in disfigured and broken teeth. Considering his income and savings, he decided to get dentally treated in Mexico. He found an excellent dentist and for the first time in years, he felt that his teeth were being taken care of properly and it was not costing him an arm and leg to do so. He experienced dentists who were hospitable, welcoming, gracious and professional in Mexico and had absolutely no issues in communicating with them. His dental procedures list was quite lengthy and he required two dental implants, several crowns replaced and innumerable X- rays. And it still would all be less expensive than back in the U.S including the airfare and hotel stay. The dental procedures were latest and hygienic, charges were reasonable and fair and fortunately the dentist was a genuine individual who donated services to those who really needed dental work but cannot afford it. The young man returns home with a gleeful smile giving his Mexican experience 5 stars with a hope to return and also glad that he would not have to sell his ranch.

An u.s citizen can easily save thousands by indulging in safe Mexican dentistry procedures in Mexico. The dental clinics in Mexico are maintained to meet the American and Canadian standards in terms of cleanliness, hygiene and excellence. The dentists are highly qualified and strive to excel in their specialties. Mexican dentists put in that extra effort and work tremendously hard to imbibe new knowledge, enhance their communication skills and provide undivided attention to each detail. To be a dentist in Mexico, one needs to at least have 4-5 years of university education, one year of community services in his/her kitty. They are also required to pass their final exam and finish a test by the health department to get a license. Incase a dentist is found guilty of any malpractices or wrongdoings; he then loses his permit for life. The dentistry education offered in Mexico is quite similar to the U.S and Canada. Mexican dentistry offers both oral health care as well as cosmetic dentistry. You can have your Hollywood smiles for less in Mexico! There are various options available to improve your smile like porcelain veneer, tooth polishing, whitening, bleaching and closing gaps between the teeth. If you have substantial dental work to do, then you must head to Mexico since you pay much lesser for your dental work all including a vacation package too than you would if you went to a dentist in U.S or Canada.

All said and done, we can conclude that if you are still recuperating from the shock of your previous dental bills incurred in U.S, then don’t sit back and mourn, plan a trip to Mexico that includes the treatment of your dental problems too.

hell yeah you won’t remember a thing, hahahaha, i liked it
Crowns are not too much different than fillings. They take a little longer, but it’s not that big a deal. If you never use nitrous for fillings, you won’t need it for the crown.
Getting a crown does not hurt at all, its much like getting a tooth filled but a little longer. If you are deathly afraid of dentists like I am, you might want to have him get the gas ready in case you need it.
The first time nitrous oxide was administered to me, I was very sensitive emotionally immediately following the procedure. (They mix nitrous oxide with oxygen during the procedure and then give you straight oxygen for a few seconds afterward.) The times it has been used since then I have had no side effects. I think it is great especially if you think there might be pain involved. While “under” the laughing gas I have felt someone could cut off my arm and I wouldn’t care. During one procedure, the dentist wanted to give me another shot of sodium pentathol because he realized he had do drill deeper than he originally thought. But I told him I was fine. Because I have a low threshold to pain where my teeth are concerned, I asked for it one time and the dentist said he didn’t think it was necessary – and it wasn’t. So I would suggest getting the opinion of your dentist.
I sometimes have a headache for a few minutes after wards, but I am SO thankful for it. (I think I know what it feels like to be a Northwest pilot!) Okay, seriously now– Crowns usually take longer than fillings, so the gas might help you relax. I fell and busted my two front teeth when I was a kid. (Finally got the nerve to get ‘em capped last year!), so I’ve always been somewhat antsy/twitch/jumpy about people working around that area. With the gas, if I feel pain, I know I’m feeling pain, but I don’t care. One time, my hygienist actually started sounding like Lisa Simpson. That’s probably when I should have told them to back it off a little, but nahhhh. Some dentist (like mine) allow you to listen to music through headphones. THAT’s a trip with nitrous.
I guess the bottom line is, like others have mentioned, talk it over with your dentist. If you can get though a filling without it, then you’d probably be all right. But the only way to know is to try it, as everybody has a different reaction to it.
with my current teeth problems and situation, I say you should definatly take him up on the offer. I’ve heard it may give you a headache, but other then that it does wonders. If it will get rid of pain….GO FOR IT!
I agree with Dr. Sam 100%. Having a crown done shouldn’t feel any different to you than if you were having a filling done. They can take awhile so I recommend that you take some music to listen to and take 600-800mg Ibuprofen (if you aren’t allergic) before your appointment, this will help your jaw from getting sore from staying open. Good luck
no i hate that stuff it made me sick stay with the injections lot better
Nitrous does nothing but relax you. just make sure you eat something so you wont get sick. Not a big deal at all.
I wouldn’t worry about the “gas.” Here is what is going to be done (typically). They’ll do an initial impression. You’ll get a shot to numb you it’s not bad. Then, they will “shape” the tooth. I don’t know how else to say it. Then, they will pack some cord in your gums around the tooth you’ll be numb so you won’t feel it. This is done to help get a good impression so the crown will fit well. Then they will take more impressions since your tooth now has a different shape. Then they will make and cement on a temporary crown just to protect the area while you wait to get the permanent back from the lab. Hope this helps. Sometimes knowing what’s coming eases the anxiety, making the nitrous unnecessary. Good Luck.
I never had laughing gas, since my dentist doesn’t offer it, but I think you should do it. I had to get a filling done once at my dentist and it hurt like hell, as he didn’t use anything to numb the pain. The only thing you might get from it is a little headache. My mom’s dentist offered her laughing gas, and she took it. She only had a little headache a few hours after it. So, it wouldn’t hurt to try it, I heard laughing gas makes you feel good.
