I want to whiten my teeth, I tried whitening strips but they didn’t work.

when I was younger (before putting braces) my teeth were white (like 9 years old) but after putting braces they became yellow.

I brush my teeth twice a day and I have been using whitening strips lately but the results are not satisfying.

1-I heard of this surgery called zoom 2? Is it good?

2-please give me the most expensive AND the cheapest way to get my teeth whitened and pros/cons of both ways.

3- how long does it take for a dentist to perform this when I first tell them that I want it?

4-will my teeth stay white forever after the surgery? will I be able to do another surgery if they don’t or would it be dangerous to do so?

5- are there any health issues I should know about?

1) It is not a surgery. And it is good

2) Zoom is the most expensive way to whiten your teeth, Crest white strips are the cheapest, but dentist can also do what is called an at home whitening treatment ( they make a custom fitted tray to your teeth and you put a bleaching solution in it and wear it either at night or for a couple of hours during the day depending on the strength of the solution) The pros and cons are: pros, white teeth…..cons, sensitivity that goes away. We recommend Sensodyne toothpaste for this.

3) Once you have gone in for a consult, they can sometimes do it that day or schedule for another appointment. The procedure takes about 1-2 hrs (foe zoom)

4) No your teeth will not stay white forever. Coffee, smoking, sodas, red wine, etc all affect the shade of your teeth. Occasional touch up are necessary. No it is not dangerous

5) No health issues to worry about.
