Some doctors insist that teeth are not meant to be glistening white, but rather different natural shades instead. So, how do I whiten my teeth safely? The good news is that if you want to see a dramatic change in the shades of your teeth from dull brown and yellow (unless they have been damaged by medication taken), it is very possible to do so.

Aggravating the conditions further, our dietary habits and the food and other things that we eat on a regular basis also hampers the color of teeth greatly. Are you satisfied with the color of your teeth? If you have dark teeth than you should consider using home teeth whitening kits.

Previously the best teeth whitening products were only available from a dentist which meant you had to make an appointment, take time out of your day, and pay for expensive treatments. Dentists are generally more aggressive in their treatment approach and will achieve results faster. Home teeth whitening kits will work equally well but take a little longer. If cost is important, then the DIY route is the obvious way to go.

Among the most popular forms of home teeth whitening kits are home remedies, gels, whitening toothpastes, trays, kits, strips and professional whitening. These are all at different price points and levels of whitening, though all offer results in varying degrees.

Tooth whitening home kits certainly are worth checking out. At-home whitening kits usually employ a method of teeth bleaching (though they vary greatly). It is not perfect and has its own set of temporary disadvantages such as sore gums, slow results if at all, inconvenience of wearing gooey-saliva filled plastic trays and other contraptions etc.

However, the very same system that dentists have used for years have finally been released to the public and can be used at home. Instead of paying from 0 to 0 to have your teeth whitened, a simple and affordable teeth whitening kit can be ordered that will remove those ugly stains and help create that celebrity smile you have always wanted.

  1. SmileK says:

Whitening toothpaste will only remove stain that occurs outside the tooth (example, from coffee, smoking, tea, etc…that is normally brown). To remove the “yellow” stain from your teeth (that is inside your teeth), you have to get something with a whitening solution, with peroxide as the main ingredient. The best over the counter product is Crest White Strips.

i will agree with the others, crest simply white and aqua fresh white trays work fast and you get results.
i have used both and it does show by the end. they last about 6 months with good brushing.

as far as toothpaste.recently i bought Colgate visible white. it’s in stores comes in a little box (red and silver) and costs about $ 3.50.
i bought colgate visible white because the white strips are a little too steep, and visible white is the best whitening toothpaste ive used. ive used 2 aqua fresh, 2 other colgate whitening toothpastes, and none have worked this good.

by the end of using the tube your smile will be no more than 1 shade behind the white strips, which is pretty good.

Crest. Dentists recommend it and it’s approved by the ADA – American Dental Association

straight Baking Soda mixed with table salt!!!! Save your money on the others! I’ve used it for years, have white teeth, hardly any decays (1 in 15 years) and good gum and I’m in my 60s. If you rethink Fluoride, then think of this … if someone is unfortunately burned in a fire, what survives that fire? Some bone perhaps, but always some teeth! Enamel is extremely hard, so I have talked to my dentist about this and told him straight out I don’t believe in the Fluoride treatment because it can’t get through the enamel. He had to agree with me! He told me whatever I was doing to keep doing it and when I told him what I used he was very surprised.
