Im really tired all day and night. Even right now im exhausted. Ive been having a bad toothache for a little while now ive been taking pain relievers in the mean time before going to the dentist. The Dr. gave me penicillin for infection and percocet aka oxycodone for pain. The oxycodone makes me drowsy therefore i only take it before I go to sleep and if I have pain during the day, i take advil. I dont think its penicillin making me drowsy is it? Or is it the oxycodon still waring off in my system?? Or is it something else making me tired. Ive been on medication for too long. I think I might just pull my back tooth out. Which brings me to my second question.

Will my teeth shift when I pull the far back bottom tooth out? What are the risks of pulling the tooth out instead of doing the whole root canal procedure? I can’t afford the 1600 dollars on that one tooth. (yes thats will insurance) Its expensive cause i have to go to a “specialist.” The cavity is so big that id rather just pull it.

Up through my early 20′s, I was on my father’s state insurance (Aetna), and received amazing dental care. They were always thorough, caring, friendly, and did great work. You really can tell when they’re putting in that extra amount of care, to get something just right.

Once off his insurance, I bought a dental plan from dentalplans .com, and, despite switching dentists 3 times, received shoddy, uncaring work from ALL 3 (one Afghani, one from China, and one from India. Coincidence? I’m just saying.) They all seemed to be overloaded with patients, I felt like just a number, and the work done was not of high quality.

Are dental plans only honored by crappy dentists? What’s the reality about this?

If you Google this topic, you can tell that most of the “reviews” are clearly written in favor of the dental plans. Is this nothing more than a massive marketing campaign for a low level product that caters to dentists trained in a foreign country or something? This couldn’t be further from any sort of racist thing, I’m just going by my experiences and that’s what it seems like.
I don’t care if my dentist is from the 5th circle of Hell! I just want a good one, who cares enough to do GREAT work. And now I need to go again, so I’d like to find out what the low down is, from people in the industry.

Also, insurance companies often work only with the best, most qualified dentistrys. So you are sure to be going to a highly qualified dentist.

3. Talk around. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising for companies, but it is also the best way to get a good dentist. Call up friends and neighbors and find out what they think about their dentist or dentists they have seen in the past. The online social community is also a great place.
