Your dentist in Salina, KS can help you keep your teeth for life!
How Do I Keep My Teeth For Life?
Many people come to us and ask, “How can I keep my teeth for life?” and others may come to us and say they just know they are going to lose their teeth. Oftentimes, we will find that even when a person thinks their teeth are unsavable they are actually very able to be saved. Many of the reasons people feel they can’t keep their teeth center around ideas about having parents or siblings with bad teeth or who now have dentures. We believe that they may be partially correct on this, some people just seem to have stronger enamel and bone structure than others. That said, there are ways to stack the deck in your favor even when you may not have drawn the long straw genetically. You really don’t have to follow the exact same path as the people around you. You can CHOOSE to keep your teeth.
Our goal at New Horizons is to help people keep their teeth for life if that is their goal. We believe that disease prevention is crucial in this process and if you always wait until problems are catastrophic then all you experience are catastrophes. We believe in identifying and treating conditions in early stages. Dental diseases are not too dissimilar from cancer where if you treat it early it will often go into remission or go completely away. These ideas are the basis of our philosophy of disease prevention and early identification through the use of technology and thorough diagnostics. So always remember that the future of your teeth is YOUR CHOICE. Our role will be to help you find the path toward whatever you choose.

Meet Drs. Guy, Kate and Guest:
New Horizons Dental Care has been in business for over 30 years, originally starting with Dr. Ken Guest in 1978. Over the years, Dr. Guest has maintained a practice consisting of lifelong, loyal patients. Almost 10 years ago, Dr. Guest was joined by his daughter and son-in-law. Together, each doctor has worked to develop an even greater dental experience for the Salina community.
Dr. Guest and Dr. Kate both attended the University of Kansas, while Dr. Guy attended Kansas State University. All 3 then attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry. Although the 3 doctors are rooting for different teams during football and basketball seasons, all three dentists come together for the same mission and purpose through dentistry.
Drs. Guy, Kate and Guest all enjoy maintaining a healthy mind and body through exercise. Dr. Kate and Guy have both participated in numerous marathons and are currently training for their first triathlon. They have two small boys who are currently helping them train for these races! Dr. Guest will continue to serve the Salina community through dentistry and enjoys spending time with his 2 partners, grandkids, and son.
